Occupational Safety and Health

The creation of a conducive and safe work environment is anchored under the safety, health and welfare legislation; the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA), 2007. The legislation aims at securing the safety and welfare of persons at work and those impacted by workplace activities against risks to safety and health arising out of or in connection with the activities of persons at work.

Organizations have in addition realized the benefits of occupational safety and health as a tool for risk reduction as part of business continuity planning. The push for implementation of safety has thereby moved from compliance status to benchmarking against best practices.

Safety and Health Statutory Training

We provide accredited statutory training programmes designed to help organisations meet legal requirements while promoting safe and healthy workplaces. Our training is delivered in line with the curriculum and standards set by the Directorate of Occupational Safety and Health Services (DOSHS).

Our statutory training includes:

  • Occupational Safety & Health (OSH) Committee Training
  • Fire Safety Training
  • First Aid Training

Under the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA), 2007, and its supporting legal notices; Legal Notice No. 31 of 2004, Legal Notice No. 59 of 2007, and Legal Notice No. 79 of 2024, organisations are required to establish Safety and Health Committees and maintain trained emergency response teams, including fire marshals and first aiders.

At Dataline International Limited, our training programmes are tailored to the specific operations and risk profile of each organisation. We go beyond compliance by integrating practical, scenario-based learning that promotes behaviour-based safety and strengthens organisational safety culture, ensuring that knowledge translates into safe actions and sustained performance.
